Why Choose White O'Hara Rose?

White O'Hara Rose is a world-famous premium French cut rose cultivated by Delbard, widely loved for its pure and elegant ivory-white flower tone. The unopened buds carry light green outer petals mixed with faint pink inner layers; after fully blooming, it turns clean ivory white with a soft blush hidden in the flower core, presenting delicate layered color changes. Every 10cm bloom is made up of 70 densely stacked petals, and the outer petals naturally bend into exclusive horn-like shapes, unfolding into a sophisticated French rosette form full of romantic texture.

It stands out among white cut roses with its strong lasting lavender aroma, a rare prominent scent for long-vase cut varieties. After being harvested as cut flowers, it can keep complete flower structure and fresh appearance for up to 10 days, greatly extending the display cycle of bouquets and floral artworks. Growing upright to 120cm tall with robust root system, it performs excellently both for commercial cut flower production and home garden ornamental planting.

  • Powerful intense lavender fragrance that lingers long around blooms and indoor spaces.
  • Outstanding vase life up to 10 days, retains full flower shape without wilting easily.

Basic Care Tips

Plant White O'Hara Rose in a fully sunny position with loose, well-drained soil, providing at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. Water deeply once the surface soil dries out, keep ventilation between branches to reduce fungal diseases, and regularly prune faded blooms to stimulate continuous new bud production.

Rose Planting and Care Guide

Light

Roses thrive in sunlight. During the growing season, they need at least 6 hours of direct light each day. Without sufficient light, they may not bloom — or the blooms may not fully develop.

Temperature

Roses prefer a cool to warm climate, with an optimal temperature range of 18–28°C. When temperatures exceed 33°C, growth may slow. If exposed to intense sun and high heat, provide some shade during midday.

Soil

Use loose, well-aerated, nutrient-rich soil with good drainage. A recommended mix: 40% peat moss, 20% coconut coir, and 40% garden soil.

Water & Fertilizer

Water regularly, but be careful not to overwater. When planting, use organic sheep manure as a base fertilizer. For weekly feeding, a diluted water-soluble fertilizer works well throughout all stages of growth.

Pruning

Prune regularly based on growth needs. Remove diseased branches, deadwood, thin stems, overly dense growth, spent blooms, and excessively long branches by cutting them back. When removing old branches, cut them off at the base.
